A Hello & Goodbye

Ciao in Italian is both a greeting and goodbye. It seems only fitting. With every closed door is a new opportunity. I thought my experiences abroad would be the pinnacle of my year. I thought coming home would mean returning to the daily grind and a time filled with adjusting lows. Oh, how I misunderstood the growth abroad brought!My time abroad was just the beginning of an adventure. An adventure to understand myself, my desires, my passion, and my sources of strength.

Unfortunately, the daily grind has captured my schedule (don't worry...I'm beyond happy and fulfilled). But...this blog is now an archive of some of the best four months of my life so use it to kickstart your own and breathe all that travel has to offer. I just caution you that returning home can be just as amazing of a journey!

Ciao, ciao bella.

Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails. Proverbs 19:21

Winter Weekends {Brugges, Belgium & Germania}

Jetlag is officially conquered! I've spent the last few days visiting with friends and stopping to catch up in the veggie aisle of the grocery store! America feels surprisingly good but I forgot how fast paced life is here! I'm trying to hold onto my relaxing pace for as long as possible! To reminisce on relaxation, I'll tell you how I welcomed winter with two weekends of travel to two unexpectedly beautiful countries. Neither  made my travel to-do list before I went but I can't imagine my semester without!
